Conservation and Restoration are quite a bit different from
Refinishing. Conservation is conserving what is present. Restoring is bringing a
piece back to it's original beauty without changing it's structure or
appearance. To the right are a few miscellaneous examples of 'finished'
restoration projects.
Below is a piece - photos showing various angles and extent
of damage - that was restored to it's original beauty. Please note that this piece was not stripped and
retains it's original color and finish (though replacement parts have been
added and a sealer coat applied).
